Take the Field: Project Assessment
The purpose of Athletic Field Condition Assessment Survey of Synthetic Turf Fields was to visit and evaluate the 43 existing Take The Field (Turf) facilities, co-founded by Preston Robert (Bob) Tisch, Tony Kiser and Richard Kahan, based on uniform and consistent criteria.
The evaluations were specifically focused on the synthetic turf components, with comments on adjacent areas / facilities. The visits to all 43 sites occurred from late 2013 thru late summer 2014 and included representatives of Take The Field initiative, DSF, PSAL and NYCSCA.
The report will be utilized as a tool in: Prioritizing rehabilitation to planning fiscal budgets and identifying short term maintenance / repair work.
